Earth Day celebration and an Animation Film Contest on theme ‘Earth’

Soil Conservation Department, Thrissur Zilla Panchayat, in collaboration with ViBGYOR Film Festival Committee and various voluntary organizations, is holding the Earth Day celebration on Monday, April 23rd at Kerala Sahitya Akademy Hall from 10am – 5pm.

This one-day event, where people from different walks of life and various grass root struggles will participate, is also meant to inform and inspire our young people to invest their skills into creative productions, meant for the betterment of the society. When it comes to motivating people regarding the broader social issues and concerns, we realize the power of short films especially Animations.

We extend special invitation to students to participate in a Animation Film Contest (max. duration 1minute) based on the theme Earth. Awards will be given to the best three films and all entries with reasonable quality will be screened at the ViBGYOR International Film Festival held from May 10-13, 2007, at the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademy campus.
